ECONOMY

The primary economies are mining ice, farming and harnessing steam.

The ice is carved into building material for castles and mansions. Mined ice is also liquefied into freezing conditioner to keep dwellings cool. The steam is re-purposed as energy to power the night torches along the cobblestone streets and highways.

Farmed cabbage and broccoli comprise much of the snowman's diet. Many of the middle class work at the Marsh Factories to process marshmallow trees. The richest Snowmen are able to afford dark chocolate, which is harvested in the Southern hemisphere.

CLIMATE/GEOGRAPHY

SnowVania is covered year round in permafrost, ice and glaciers. Beautiful evergreens and scattered mountains blanket the landscapes to the far north and south.

All of the lakes and rivers are frozen on the surface, with the exception of the three oceans.

LIFE EXPECTANCY

The snowmen of the land can live up to 600 years. Yet, this is typical of those who only dwell in the most rigid and freezing environments.

Common causes of death are:

  • Over-exposure to sunlight (melting)

  • Drowning in unfrozen lakes

DANGER ZONES

These are the areas where no snowman dares to hop. Few, if any have survived while trespassing or wandering into the following danger zones:

  • Hobart, Australia (Sandy Snowmen of the Coast)

  • Maui, HI (Blue Snowmen of the Pacific)

  • Hovuun, Mongolia (Zombie Snowmen of South Mongolia)

  • Zogingen, CH (Diamond Snowmen of Switzerland)
